My 1st snowboarding experience!! (8 Dec 07)

i always thought its so cool snowboarding!
hohoho!! my 3rd wish of the year had been fulfilled!!! That is to learn how to snowboard......

On 8 Dec, we made our trip to the Ski Resort... Trying our very best to minimise our cost, Junwoo reserved the free shuttle bus and ski lift coupon so we can have further discounts... So thankful to him!

its always stylish to carry the snowboard!!

On the very morning, we woke up early and make our way to Kangnam station where the shuttlebus picked us up. Made about 1 hr plus journey, we finally reached the ski resort! We were all excited, went in to the ski rental shop, got our ski clothes, snowboard and boots....... hahah had a hard time wearing the BIG boots......

whoosh... me on the snowboard!

Finally, we were all geared up and ready for our 1st snowboarding experience! Went over to the entrance. There were already a long queue of skiers waiting to get their ski-lift coupons. As we were carrying the snowboards, Junwoo queued up and ushered for me n Tiff to wait....

Models for snowboard....

After a long wait..... WE finally make our way up the escalator to the slope!!!So excited to see the WHITE snow SLOPE!!! Everybody were already geared up and people were already having great fun sliding down either on skis or snowboards...... So we did our warming ups and proceeded to the ski-lift....

we up on the slope

Junwoo brought us to the 2nd slope to take the ski-lift... I was totally terrified! It was my 1st time on the snowboard, I dun even know how to stand nor fall and yet he brought me up the slope!!!!! He kept telling us, this is the way to learn... you have to get down from the slope.... So on the slope (nt so gentle) we learnt how to get up on the snowboard... GOSH its so EXTREMELY difficult!!! The moment I tired to get up, my board slide further down......

Basically I was just screaming and yelling my head off.... So me and tiff went on learning how to get up and slide a little while I told Junwoo to go ahead to snowboard... hehehe... So the morning half went pass quickly.... I just did a slide down on that VERY slope... can u imagine tat?! ok... truely speaking i walked down half way hehee.... cos I cant control my direction. Tiff was mastering better while I having difficulties to even brake?!!

So half time.... We went for our lunch.... were chatting and so.... Afterwhich, I said I cant go to the 2nd slope so we went to the 1st slope where beginners were... Tried my best to learnt it, get up... fall, get up... fall.... Tiring but it all paid off when I finally master to get up, slide down at the speed I want, brake, fall correctly.... IT was really addictive, after knowing the basics... I slide down and went up again and again... Its really FUn...

So after awhile, Junwoo came back from the expert slope and checked on us... Tiff was too tired so she was resting on the slope while I go up and down the slope. Hahah trying to make full use of my money paid!!! hahaha.... So having master the basics, Junwoo taught me how to slide from side to side... haha basically to learn how to siam ppl on the slope..... Tiff caught us on the camera while waiting for us... You can see how stupid i was on the snowboard.... hahaha...

Times really flies when I am having fun... Soon its 5pm, we have to leave the ski resort.... Sad but I am really satisfied to at least be able to slide on my own for mayb 2-3 times down the slope without falling! YEAH!! a mission accomplished... At least my money well-spent!

me clearin the snow from my snowboard

Friends out there... IF you have a chance do try it out ITS REALLY FUN!!! bt of cos you pay a price the very next day.... MUSCLE acheS!!!!!!!!!!

Korean Moving House...(6 Dec 07)

Having stayed in Korea for almost coming to 9months, this is one of the special encountered I had... On 6 Dec 07, a day after my final term exams, my boarding house auntie moved from her old house to live in the same building as our boarding house.

At 1st, I was still wondering how do korean moved house as most of their 5-6 storey buildings do not have elevator... I was thinking perhaps they would hire professional home movers to move their huge furnitures etc one by one up the narrow staircases. But it still ponders me as how can these home movers move up a queen or king size bed or a piano etc...

So all these questions in my head were finally answered on 6 Dec when my boarding house auntie moved to stay on the 4 storey of our boarding house. What they do is hire a professional home movers (as wat I had guessed) . But these professional home movers are different from those we had seen in Singapore...

They were equipped with a special lift which is attached to their lorry. This lift helps to transport furniture etc up... This lift can go up as high as 5-6 storey. I was totally amazed by this hence when I returned home from school on 6 Dec, I ran back to my room to get my camera to snap a few photos and some videos....

Personally I felt so amazing by this act but still I felt that its kind of dangerous... PErhaps its the Singapore KS (Kia si) instinct?

I guess pictures and videos speak a thousand words... So enjoy watching....

Our self creation: STEAMBOAT 23 Nov 07

hehee... Yes steamboat!! Having been in Korea for nearly 9 months... I really terribly miss Singapore FOOD! As you know I have been eating kimchi almost everyday...... Not that I dun like kimchi but just that it will get kind of bored when everyday you see food that are only red color.... But after been in KOrea for 9 months, I realised that there are so many varieties of kimchi!!! I should also praise my boarding house auntie, she made fabulous Kimchi!!!

K back to the Steamboat.... Just a few days before 23 Nov, I invited May (my classmates since Level 2) to my boarding house... May is a sweet girl from Beijing, China. Like Wangbo, she has no air or attitute despite being very rich... (sorry perhaps this is my stereotyping of rich people...) K, so we were chatting in my room when we started to say how we miss our hometown food and chinese food (chinese food in Korea are expensive and doesnt taste as good) So we came up with the idea of having our own steamboat, preparing the food in our own style instead of the korean shabu shabu....

The initial plan was to have it out in the open (as its about 10degree), how fun right?! hehe... but too bad this didnt came true as it was raining the whole day on 23 Nov 07 (how sad rite?!)

On 23 Nov right after our competition, me and Tiff went to the supermarket to purchase the grocery needed for our steamboat.... Sad to say, we cant find the button mushrooms we had in Singapore.... I missed tat too.......

So after shopping, we went home preparing for our steamboat... Had to change our venue to our boarding house instead... Luckily our auntie was busy with the moving of her new house hence she wasnt in. We have the whole kitchen to ourselveS!! yeah!! Were busy preparing the food, marinating the meat etc....

me, tiff, Rui and Manami

So at around 8plus, me and Tiff waited till all the rest of the students to finish their dinner before we proceed to prepare for our steamboat... As we do not have our own steamboat, we used a rice cooker instead?!! hahaa.... But well it all turned out well.......

Tiff, Rui, Ah Han, Ah Han's cousin, Manami, Sister (Korean)

At around 8plus, I went over to our school to fetch Rui and Manami... Soon we started our steamboat session... and ard 9plus Ah Han joined us with his cousin. Wow... its really fun!!! We had our own steamboat which is cheaper compare to the restaurant and of cos we get to eat the food with our own chinese/singapore taste and most important of all we feel at home and can chat for the longest time!!! Koreans dun normally sit and chat over dinner... they normally have their food fast and exit from the restaurant. Reason being they felt that the restaurant is a place for eating and they shouldnt stay on to chat as there are other customers waiting or they might be disturbing the business....

Rui, Ah Han and Ah Han's cousin

WE finished clearing up at ard 10.30pm and proceeded to the KTV for our singing session. After KTV, we met up with Sueshi and Hwan and proceeded to Manami's house to drink... Afterwhich, we stayed till 6.30am to take the 1st bus back home.......

me and Manami

It was a really relaxing yet fun day! I gonna miss all these friends I have here........ Its really sad when we have to separate our own way furthermore in different countries...... I do wished to be able to travel to their country to visit them once in a while..... These are friends I do not want to forget............FRIENDS FOR LIFE!!

Our play -The story about Nolbu & Hongbu

hehe... yet another outdated blog...

a busy wk.... soon after meeting Sam (as mentioned in my previous blog), I had been busy with the upcoming role play competition at our school.... Yah another activity organised by our school, if you still recalled we had our singing competition in Level 2, so now in Level 3 we have our role play competition...

So you got to see the future actor-to-be and actress-to-be during this competition... Had been busy preparing for this competition. Thinking of what to act, who and what characters.... Being appointed as the class monitress (kena sabo lor!!) hence it's more of a pressure to me this time round compared to the last singing competition.

Whatever.... Its really difficult being the class representative... First, you got to take note of what is required for the competition after being brief by the teacher-in-charge (all in korean... can you imagine in level 3 I guess only a few of us were of other nationalities, the rest are all Japaneses) . Secondly, inform your classmates and come up with a plan on what to act, who and what kind of props are require.... Last but not least, to get everyone to memorise their lines and schedule for rehearsal........ STRESS STRESS.......

Sad to say, but my classmates are mostly people who couldnt care less about this competition hence we had a hard time deciding on what to act... Hence we had changed our plans for more than 3 times......

At 1st, we had thought of reacting Dae Cha Guem (大长今) but this ideal was given up cause we couldnt find the appropriate dressings and not everyone in our class knows the drama... Next, we decided on making our own script with some broadcasting theme... Everyone agrees but we had a hard time coming up with the script hence we gave up the idea again. Its kind of frustrating... I thought broadcasting was a gd idea but I have no confident in writing the whole script myself..... as no one volunteers to help. Sometimes I really wonder why can these ppl come up with their script during the exams bt not for this competition? All I can say is they r either selfish or they simply couldnt care less. Anyway, a classmate of mine managed to find a Korean bedtime story with script etc... Its the easy way out so we chose it.

As most of the students in our class are busy with their own lives, its rather difficult to get everyone together hence we only had a full rehearsal just 1 day before the competition. And you also have people who are not co-operative, who just dun want to do this dun want to do that..... arrggh.... But I should also say thanks to those who did put in a little effort in helpin me out... for staying back to rack our brains, to accompany me to buy the props.....

But anyway, I kind of gave up in the end.... So on 23 Nov 07 (Friday), we had our final last rehearsal in the morning at 8.30am (of cos you got those late comers.... ) before proceeding to the hall to watch the others performed..... I have totally no confident of winning at all just wishing that everything runs smoothly....

So at ard 9.30am, we went into the hall... The competition had started hence I had missed a few classes.... The other classes were well-prepared and had many props etc... Some were really hilarious... For instance, we had the snow white guys version, Cinderella Kr version and even one class reacted a class scenario!!

Cinderella Korean version

Snow white guy version

classroom scenerio

Soon its our turn........ Yah... Everything went smoothly as I had hope... Just that we werent as fanciful as the rest of the classes..... Since ours is a Korean bedtime story it wasnt as funny. Hence in other words its kind of boring... But I was kind of happy for my ideas of throwin the sweets and bursting of balloons did had an impact on the audience...

Phew..... Finally its over and I had lifted this class rep burden..... Its really difficult to manage a grp of ppl esp. when they have no interest in the tings and when you are not close with them/do not know them well.......Or perhaps the problem lies with me.. I wasnt a gd leader then. Now I realised its so difficult to be a supervisor, manager etc... I tink i still need more training on this.

Our play is about 2 brothers named Nolbu and Hongbu. Nolbu is a wicked elder brother and Hongbu is a kind soul. Its about how kind Hongbu helped a injured swallow and was repaid his kindness. On the other hand, how Nolbu was punished for his evil deeds.

Thanks Sam for the warmth.....

ho ho ho !! a very very outdated post... hehehehe... have been busy with the final term exams and simply too lazy to blog hence this blog came so late...... Time really flies and its already DECEMBER!!!

it was on 17 Nov morning 11am, when I received a call from Sam.... She had arrived in Seoul and is now at the supermarket shopping for some grocery before she proceed to the outskirt.... Was really happy to receive her call that morning despite me still in a sleepy mode....

She wasnt too sure about her travelling plans hence she couldn't confirm when she would be able to meet me.... So we had a short conversation over the phone and she said she would contact me again......

Soon the weekend went by, went to sch on Mon 19 Nov and after sch as I was walking to the bank at Sinchon my phone rang. It was Sam, she told me she could meet me that day.... So all the way from Bundang, she came to my sch....

I was walking back from Sinchon cause Jeff didnt know the area well hence I had instructed them to wait for me at the previous location where I had met Jeff the other time. Was walking in the cold when I spotted someone familar getting out of the car. The person was SAMANTHA! Was so happy to see her.... Not much of changes since the same old Sam I know hehe...

Had wanted to show Sam ard my sch but she urgently need to go to the ladies so I just brought her to a fast food restaurant. Over at burger king, I had my lunch while we were chatting about our lifes since we left Sentosa.... Was practically chatting for more than 2-3 hours... (dun exactly remember how long we chatted)

Afterwhich, Sam said she wanted to buy some earrings for her colleagues and a pair of boots for herself... Hence I brought her to Ewha Women University District.... It was really cold that day.... kind of freezin on the street....... Was really happy that Sam managed to find herself a pair of boots she liked.

Then we moved on to Kangnam as Sam wished to meet Junwoo... So we went over to Kangnam to have our dinner with Jeff joining us after his work. The moment we reached Kangnam it was raining heavily.... So we rushed into a restaurant... Were waiting for Junwoo who is rushing over after his work. As usual he didnt know the way.... Hahah... forgot to mention he is a 路痴. Hence despite being a Korean, he didnt knw the area as well as me... hehe!!

He got lost and in the end I had to get out of the restaurant to lead him...n As we were having our dinner with our rojak language (Korean, chinese, english, hokkien), it started snowing!! Its the first snow for this winter.... Its really beautifull bt freezing cold ........ Really happy to watch the first snow with my friends!! Ah... almost forgotten to mention, calls started rolling in... my friends calling to inform me of the 1st snow........Everyone is so excited!

Soon after we had our dinner, we decided that its still early so we went for a drink... Poor Jeff had to drink orange juice cause he had to drive. So we all had our soju while he drank his orange juice. Time really flies when we are enjoying ourselves... Soon it was almost 12mn so Sam suggested that Jeff send me back.... So we went back... Junwoo took a bus from Kangnam which is nearer to his house.

After sending me back, Sam gave me the gifts that she had brought for me from Macau... Was really touched..... All the things were so beautiful and useful... Keeping me warm this winter....

THANKS Sam for the gifts!!!!!!!!

Here are the gifts I had:

5 scarfs (enuff for me to wear a different scarf to sch everyday), my cutie thermal flask, 4 pairs of warm socks. (Not in the picture: my ba kua in the fridge)

However, was really sad that we could only have less than a day to hang around and we didnt even managed to take a photograph together!!! Wished there were more time for us to catch up.... But anyway we shall meet again and I hope it will be in KOREA again hehe!!!

11 Nov is a special day for couples in Korea??

Heyo... Sorry have not been updating my blog wif exciting or fun stories nowadays...

And once again another backdated blog.... hehe... and more to come... Had a busy yet fun wk.... so stay tune to my backdated blog!!

Yes, back to my topic.... Do any of you know what day is 11 Nov? Apparently people in both Korea and China celebrate this day.... erm... not exactly a BIG day that its a public holiday or so bt just that its quite cute and something funny happened so decided to log it here...

It is known as "빼빼로 날" (pronounced as BAE BAE RO) in Korea... So what exactly is 빼빼로 날?? 빼빼로 is a kind of tibit, long and thin stick normally coated with chocolate, strawberry etc (we called them Pokky sticks in Sg). As quoted from my teacher this is a day where single guys will declare their love to the gals they admire... It is yet another gimmick made up by Lotte company to earn more profit...

Why do they choose to name it 빼빼로 and why on 11 Nov? Erm... a smart thinking... simply because if you write 11 Nov in numeric it will be 11-11 which looked exactly like 빼빼로 and it resembles singles. I was told by my China friends that they have similar day in China too... And its quite popular....

So to me, to Koreans this is a day where single celebrates and Valentine day is a day where couple celebrates... Its so busy in Korea and so many days to remember... hahaa....

So I didnt really take it to heart or memorise the day until closer to the date, I started seeing beautiful packagin of 빼빼로 out in every convenient store. The packaging were really very nice and you got to see so many variety of 빼빼로 ranges from big ones just like a baseball bat to the normal pokky size... There were cute ones with cartoon characters etc and most of all the packaging r really so beautiful which you just want to buy and keep....

So just someday before me, junwoo, hakki and tiff walked into a convenient store and I saw this very cute packaging which I wanted to buy and keep but was then dragged out of the store without buying by Hakki... Me totally in a blur state not knowing why he dun allow me to buy the cute 빼빼로 for keeping sake.

So on 11 Nov, Junwoo had to work so we didnt get to meet... but truely speakin I forgotten that it was 빼빼로 day until Junwoo called when he ended his work and told me that he was sorry that he was busy and it was 빼빼로 day... but we MUST meet the next day...

Thought that its only a day for singles so I didnt understand why he insisted to meet the following day to celebrate a belated 빼빼로 day... haha ... just told him if he finished his work early tomorrow then we shall meet...

So we meet up on 12 Nov and he brought me a 빼빼로... I was kind of surprize and asked him isnt it a day for singles? He then explained that its Korean Valentine day!! Almost fainted when I argued him isnt it a day for singles only, as I believed what my teacher had said??

Hence after that then I realised why he keep apolgnizing the day before that he was too busy and insisted on meeting the next day no matter wat.... haha Cute.... and man what wrong information my teacher gave to us...!?! It got me all confused and I even asked the auntie of my boarding house wat is 빼빼로 day?! So which means Koreans celebrated 빼빼로 day and Valentine day too.... Busy ah busy!

Hey so guy if you wan to see varies pokky sticks you can try visiting Korea closer to 11 Nov... Hahah its a spectacular sight which will not b introduced in normal Korea tourist guide bk....

Why These Jobs Work For You

You are the person for a job that involves thinking outside the box. You are innovative and intellectual. You don't like paying attention to administrative details, though you pay attention to details when necessary for aesthetic or practical reasons. Organizing and filing do not appeal to you. Your skills are in the art of expression, and you have the ability to convey the message to the intended audience effectively.

Research has shown that people whose personalities are well-suited to their job environments are happier and more successful. Remember, your Right Jobs were selected because they are good matches for your career personality — they would allow you to exercise the qualities mentioned above. They are not based on the skills you already have, or would need to perform those jobs. Those are things you can learn along the way.

That said, here's a description of the Right Job that is the best statistical match to your career personality. If you don't like the sound of it, you can do a bit more research on the runner-up jobs that match your personality almost as well.

As an architect, you would plan and design structures. Most likely, you'd focus on buildings and their immediate surroundings. In particular, architects plan a building's layout — everything from the look of the building itself to where the rooms, the elevators, the stairs, the doors, and the windows should go. You'd do all this while taking the engineering demands into account — the demands necessary to keep the structure stable and safe. Architects also have to do all this while designing a structure that meets the wishes of the client.

Architects are often responsible for choosing the building materials and equipment within a given budget and timeline. That means you'd oversee every aspect of the project, including supervising workers, preparing contracts, and representing the clients' needs to contractors. Architects typically possess high aptitudes for mathematics, spatial reasoning, and creativity. They have skills and interests in both big ideas and small details. Obtaining a four-year degree and passing the Architectural Registration Examination (administered by the Board of Architecture) are prerequisites to becoming an architect. The exam consists of nine parts and takes four days to complete.

Although the work environment of an architect is the best fit for your career personality, that is not to say you won't be happy in another job. In fact, there are plenty of careers that could use your personality's strengths. Architect was the highest statistical match for your personality characteristics. Look to the right for some other jobs that scored high and would be a great fit for you. In addition to discovering what career best fits you, Tickle has provided some information about how to best fit your career goals with your lifestyle needs. After all, your career can take on many forms, and it is important to know what best works for you.

Why These Jobs Fit Within Your Lifestyle

You're shooting for the moon and won't stop until you get there. You enjoy the high life and seek glamour and excitement. You want a leadership position that has both stability and prestige. Having the best is important to you, and you always opt for quality over quantity.

You are proud of your accomplishments and want your possessions to reveal that you've done well in life. After all, you are willing to work hard to advance in your career.

You have impeccable taste and know the trends. Because your status needs are high, be prepared to work long hours to climb to the top. This ambition may make it difficult to sustain successful long-term relationships, but a like-minded partner can become your ally in your pursuits and enjoy with you the fruits of your labor.

You may have already landed your dream job. Congratulations! But most people are still waiting to find the best job for their career personality.

Remember that wherever you are in your career — even if you're already in the job you want to keep for the rest of your life, you can't always control when or how the nature of your job might change, or how the goals of your company might evolve. But you can control the kinds of jobs you look for. That's why it's just as important to know your Wrong Job, as it is to know your Right Job.

To figure out what your Wrong Job is, we inverted the calculations for your Right Job. That means that the personality dimensions on which you scored the lowest contributed to our analysis of the Wrong Job for you.

Wrong Job
Irin, if you want to avoid your wrong Job, don't be an:

Electrician

Why shouldn't you be an electrician? Remember it's not all about the skills you have or don't have. The Right Job for you is the job that suits your personality best. For true job satisfaction, your job environment needs to match your personality. Even if you like the idea of what an electrician does or are good at it yourself, there are still reasons this is the Wrong Job for you.

Beyond the daily tasks of an electrician — testing circuitry, installing and repairing wiring and electrical fixtures — electricians need to truly enjoy working with their hands. In fact, they also need to take pride in seeing the tangible results of their finished work if they are to enjoy their career at all, since so much of their work revolves around testing and retesting new or damaged electrical lines. Many electricians are also on-call and at the mercy of their beepers. That can make scheduling the rest of your life difficult. These are just some of the reasons you wouldn't find life as an electrician very satisfying — why it's the Wrong Job for you.

Your Career Personality Type

Based on the way you answered the test questions, your primary personality type is Creative, while your secondary personality type is Analytical.

CREATIVE:

As a Creative type, your ability to look at the world with a fresh perspective keeps life interesting for you and those around you. Instead of following the trends, you want to set them yourself. Establishing a routine is not your goal; you would rather go with the flow and see where your mood takes you that day. You love seeking new experiences and sensations. Your sensitive nature is often turned inward, but your passionate nature also means that you are prone to be impulsive at times.

ANALYTICAL:

As an Analytical type, your inquisitive nature helps you enjoy the complexities of life. You understand that sometimes there are no clear right and wrong answers, and that's okay with you because you tolerate gray areas better than most. In fact, pondering potential outcomes can sometimes be more interesting than coming up with the definitive solution for you. You march to your own drum and enjoy being in charge more than working and compromising with others. Nothing escapes your keen observational skills, and thinking is your idea of fun.

Test taken at

My thinking after the test:
GOSH!!! When I was young I had always wanted to be an arhitect! Almost all the jobs that appeared are the dream jobs of mine!!!! haiz......... I should have persistance with my dreams.........I could have make it big by noW!!! hahah.... n man looked at the salary I should be earning?!! haiz... under paid ah....

My Korean composition 3: 내가 만나고싶은 사람

My composition during Level 3:

My composition during Level 2:

My Korean composition 1: Birthday card- 친구에게

Hey friends,

I just decided to type all my Korean compositions here in my blog... Not really for reading purpose but for keeping sake.... It's really wonderful how my korean had improved since I first came to Korea. From knowing only simple reading and varies vocabularies to now I am able to write out a 3 minute long composition, I am really happy and proud of myself. Although these compositions are not the best of all or perfect but at least its something I am proud of for myself. Hence I had decided to publish them on my blog, therefore in the future, I can view it and recalled all the hard and wonderful times I had while learning Korean language.

First of all is a 'Birthday card' from Level 1:

재미있는 친구에게,

한국에와서 너덕분에 제한국생활이 아주재미있어요. 슬플때와 기쁠때 너도있어서 고마워요. 그래서 너는슬플때와 기쁠때 나도너의옆에있고싶어요.

너의 생일을 진심으로 축하합니다!

너는 항상기분이 즐겁기를 바랍니다. 재미있는과 좋은 일이 채웁니다.

우리는 영원히좋은 친구예요.

Immerse in Korean culture: Playing Korean traditional music instrument

Heyo!! Yes, yet another immersing in Korea culture activity provided by my school.... In level 3, we got to learn how to play the korean traditional drum known as the Janggu (장구)... There are a varies of drums (ranges from small to big) in Korean traditional music. There is a famous piece of Korean traditional music played by all these drums known as 'Storm' as these drums produced the different sounds during a storm, for instance the big drum (sorry forgotten the name ) produced a sound that symbolise the thunder during the storm... and so on...

So on Wed, 24 Oct 07, its my class's turn to attend the traditional music class. So very early in the morning, we gathered at the lobby of our school and soon after that walked over to the center. Its really excited, everyone went into the class and each took a drum and drum sticks. Everyone sitting in position, chatting and so on.... Soon the teacher appeared and did a short self introduction. Afterwhich, he explains the different music instruments available in Korean traditional music. He uses Korean as well as Hanja (chinese characters) to explain which allows me to further understand what he meant....

So after that he taught us how to hold our drum sticks, why and how the drum is made, he also taught us how to read the music notes... Its totally different from the normal musical notes (豆芽字) that we learnt in school... In fact the korean musical notes for this drum is rather easy to understand and read.

Soon, we learnt how to hit the drum in rhythm... as in not noise but MUSIC... Soon after we got the hang of it, he introduced other music instrument like the big drum etc... However only a few of the students played the other instrument... After a few practise, we combined all the instruments and play a little tune....

Its really fun!! However as we are in an enclosed area it soon became NOISe.... hahah.... Cos of the big drum, it really hurt our eardrums once we stopped playing the music.... haha.... Though its easy to strike and read the music notes, when it comes to mind and hand coordination people get bit of messy... so part of the song, I was fighting to catch up with the rhythm....

Overall, its really fun however its really tiring and hurting to our eardrums.... But our teacher said if we were to play it in the open area it will be fine... heheh.... My korean teacher even told us most of her students suffered from muscle aches the next day... hahaa... But luckily I didnt... which meant I am quite fit ah?! hahaha

My fengshui report: What can make me wealthy?

WHAT CAN MAKE ME WEALTHY???

Introduction

As someone with natal Sun in Aquarius, you are overly generous when it comes to money. In order for you to lead a lifestyle of privilege and opulence, you can implement some balancing cures. Try implementing these cures in the far left corner of every one of your rooms. Keep in mind that the more attractive these areas are, the easier it will be for you to build wealth. You can use these cures in your home, office, or both. Try the cure that resonates most with you, and then slowly implement others as your wealth begins to grow. Before you know it, you'll be sitting on a sizable nest egg.

Color
The color white is sure to draw wealth to you like a magnet. Use it on the walls, upholstery, curtains, or rug. Alternately, you can choose artwork with lots of white in it. Displaying beautiful pictures with white mattes in metal frames can also increase your wealth.

Texture/Material
Smooth, reflective surfaces can increase your financial prospects. A polished hardwood floor can improve your financial prospects, as can metal fixtures, shantung upholstery, or beveled mirrors.

Scents
Clarifying scents are a powerful way to activate your wealth sector. Candles, essential oils, and potpourri are all good ways to introduce a pleasing scent into your home. Choose aromas like green apple, clary sage, or rosemary, but only use these fragrances if they are pleasing to you.

Sound
Neutral, ambient music can activate your Wealth sector; if your income is stagnant; try playing some New Age pieces. Alternately, you can play a CD or tape that replicates the sound of the wind. This cure works especially well when your financial prospects grow stale.

Flowers
Violets are ideal for activating your Wealth sector. Keep a vase filled with these delicate blooms whenever conditions permit. White flowers can also increase your income.

Semiprecious stones
Placing four pieces of labradorite in the far left corner of your home is a wonderful way to attract wealth; keep these stones in a copper bowl, where they will always attract your attention.

Images
Images of lightning bolts, stars, and planets can dramatically increase your income. Display any such images in curvy metal frames at eye level. Pictures of your favorite humanitarians can also increase your income, but only choose images that are personally meaningful. Abstract art can also work wonderfully well here.

Handcrafted Items
Whether you sew, sculpt, paint, or make collages, it's a good idea to place examples of your handiwork in your Wealth sector. It doesn't matter whether you're an amateur or a professional; handmade items that you enjoyed making deserve a place of prominence in the far left corner of your home. The more beautifully your work is displayed, the greater your wealth will be.

Watched International Firework displays on 13 Oct 07

Wow wow! Just last last week, me, tiff and Sueishi went to Yeoido to watch a spectacular firework displays by 3 countries namely Japan, USA and Korea!!! Not really sure what is the festival but was told by Junwoo earlier that its a International Firework show... But too bad he got to work that day so he cant join us....

So before that I gathered the people, Tomoe had plans to watch it with her other Japanese friends hence she wont b joining us, Ah Han couldnt make it last min hence its left with me, Tiff and Sueishi.

It was really an experience for me, the firework show starts at 7.30pm, hence I had make plans to meet up with Sueishi at 6.30pm (1 hr enough to travel to the place). But was told by Hwanhee that its too late... I said its fine since its fireworks we can stand anywhere to c isnt it? haha.... So at 6pm, Junwoo called me and asked me where am I, so I told him i am preparing to go out to watch the fireworks... HE said: "Wat ?! You are still at home?! There wont be b nice seats anymore if you are so late!!"

So off we went by subway.....who knws at the interchange we saw HUGE crowds...... we had to wait for 2-3 trains before we could finally SQUEEZE ourselves up the subway..... Its so squeezy that we could not even move an inch..... and after our stop there are a few more stops before we reached our destination... who knws more and more people got on the train at each stop... its really disaster!!!

Finally reached the station and I thought its a relieve..... however to my horror!! There are even more people trying to get out of the subway station........ the crowd was really CRAZY.... we spend more than 40 mins trying to get out of the subway station.... everyone squeezin each other... n u can really experience the POWER of the A-jumas and A-joshi (aunties and uncles of Korean) The journey out of the subway station seems to take forever.... escalators had to be stopped cause the crowd is simply uncontrollable!

FINALLY we gotten out of the station, so cooling!!! And wat more.... people were all trying their best to move out of the station but in a very slow manner......... And with that the firework show for Japan had already started....... I cant view anything except hearing the fireworks...... It got me so excited bt I cant see a thing....!!! So all I can do is to follow the crowd (or kind of being push by the crowd in a direction)

Finally got to watch a few mins of the Japan team's fireworks.... It really nice with lots of color blending together.... For the next thing I know, we were walking on a road meant for vehicles.... haha.... bt there were so many people so who cares?! haha.... This reminds me of watching firework displays back in Singapore at the Esplanade.... where people practically dun care about the vehicles or whether is it the road?!

So we found a comfortable location (not the best but at least I can watch the fireworks) and stayed there... Hakki was on his way to join us but we had a hard time trying to contact each other... Our mobiles simply failed on us, we had problem calling out nor receiving calls....... Sueishi told us that its because of the telecom network congestion as many of the people were trying to make calls within the same region.... Its the same in Japan too....

So off we went watching the firework displays by USA team and Korea Team.... Here are the videos I had took:

Note: Problem of 2nd video rectified, you can watch it now..... :)

Overall, the experience was great despite the squeezing and stuff... haha... I watched a total of almost 1 hr fireworks display.... Going back was another tough job... squeezing wif people etc...... a hectic yet enjoyable day...........
