back to history: *6.45am SQ602 landed at Incheon International Airport, temp: 8 degree Celsius*
cool we finally arrived at Korea after a flight of 5.5 hours... we arrived earlier than expected (expected time by the pilot is 7.15am)...
as usual jus as the safety belt lights were turned off, ppl started to get out of their seats, took their luggages, took out the sweater etc.... me still stoning .... waited for everyone to get out of the plane... who wans to squeeze wif the a-jumas and a-jushi?!? i have plenty of time so i will wait.... so we waited... i guess we were among the last few to get off the plane...
after sayin bye n thanks to the flight stewardesses... we went onto Korea land!! slowly we stroll... the 1st to go is the toilet haha... afterwhich we walked past the quarantine zone... monkey see monkey do we followed the crowd n went on to fill up some form, lata to realise only native koreans r require to do so hahahaa.... bt hey man i did a gd deed here ok... one of the a-jushi (uncle) forgot his passport after fillin in his quarantine form... so we pass the passport to the immigration personnel...
went on to q for the immigration check point... gosh it took so long!! in frnt of us were a grp of ppl dressed in white... (probably some vietnamese cos i saw one of their name wif nguyen ...) they seem to be on some outing to korea etc...
the q was so long n the ppl r so slow here... nw i miss singapore's airport!! fast n efficient! no doubt they r awarded the best airport haha... *i am proud of that!*
after passin thru the immigration checkpoint, we went down to collect our luggages... its great to be slow cos by the time u r down there ur luggages r ready out haha... dun be kiasu... i spotted my huge luggage n pull it off the conveyer belt gosh i didnt knw i have tat strength hahaa....
gotten all our luggages n out we went...
out at the arrival hall i saw my name "ÏRIN", big n clear .... haha so its Kevin (sam's bf jeff's friend). its kind of weird cos tis is the 1st time someone ever pick me up frm the airport seems like some drama hahaaa.... he still lookin at the door while me n tiff slowly push our luggages to him.... frm behind i called out to him "kevin?? " he turned ard n said "ïrin??" n i nodded my head
he was quick to ask me how's the flight... n of cos i said its great (its really great cos we have an empty seat between us so i can stretch my legs plus i chose a seat without anyone behind me... e weather was great the pilot too...) so i then introduce kevin to tiff..
next kevin said he will bring us to the dormintory so out he went to check on the bus number... he's kind of blur (cos he is nt familarise with wat bus to take, but i knw) he was so en-du so i jus let him go... after a while i tink he gt some difficulties on which bus number i walked up to him n told him its bus number 602. he said is it? then we went over to the q for 602 n he went on to read the route for 602... n confirmed that its 602... while waiting for the bus we chatted, as usual conversation like hw i knw jeff, hw jeff knw sam, hw old r we, why we choose to come korea to study....
after awhile, the bus came so off we went my huge luggage into the bus compartment n up we went on the bus.... its cute cos there's safety belts on the seats n the bus driver even reminder ppl to put on the safety belts ... we asked kevin if its a mus he said its ok we dun have to put... bt we doubt cos everyone put on hahaha...
so on the bus we were back to chatting, tis time us questionin him on wat he studies, when he going back to canada etc n of cos i have to tell him sorry for makin him confuse tat my flight was arrivin on Mon morning... *which he went all the way to the airport on mon morning haha silly.. :P*
he said its ok... n as usual he told me tat jeff told me i like shinhwa.... ah of cos tat conversation lasted quite sometime... after a while we met up a traffic jam so he suggested mayb we shld take a rest *guess its an excuse cos we have nothing much to tok abt hahahhaa 冷场了！！*
out on the road, scenery r all in dull brown n yellow.... borin.... so we took a short nap... soon the bus reaches Sinchon. we got off the bus n tried to get a cab... gosh our luggages were too many n huge one cab simply cant take us all so we have to split up...
the journey to our dorm was really tedious.. cos of the jam many cabbies dun wan to turn in hence resulting in droppin us at the main gate of Yonsei University... its really a scene us draggin our luggages along the way when students r rushin in for their lessons... haha... for a moment we r like some weirdos... up the hills n etc poor kevin have to drag the heaviest luggages of ours...which he claimed nt heavy.... (com on its more tha 25 kgs... ok ok man very man... :D)

finally all the rushin here n there we finally got to our dorm... check-in n yes the best part of the ting is there is no elevator... luckily we r stayin on the 2nd floor.. so again our very strong kevin have to carry our heavy luggage up the stairs.... (gosh i really pity him n so sorry towards him for causing him to wake up so early to fetch us n nw like a coolie carryin up n draggin the heavy luggages) :P
so off we went to our room... tiff was the one who is doing the openin ceremony so she knocked on the door (pan-dan way of doing bt its jus being safe) n unlock the door... she was stunned to c tat the room is soooooooo small..... (ok i was shocked too although i have made mental preparation for a lok-kok kok room haha) the room is big enuff for 1 person i guess...
in the room is 2 single bed side by side... wif a small cupboard in frn of the bed n a study table wif a lamp behind the bed... shelves r mounted above the study table... in the room r a small fridge (tis came as a surprize) n a heater.

after settling the room, we went to the admin office to have our finger scan... its for the entry into the dorm... (yah jus like our Sentosa office) after which we went out for our lunch n went out to explore the subway (lesson 1:this is a mus to knw where the subway is if u r on a free n easy trip to korea). With the help of Kevin, we bought our transportation card (called T-money, lesson 2: its like ezlink card in sg, bt its cooler here cos they have other form, instead of the card u can have something like a handphone strap decor bt of cos its more expensive)
so off we went, wow the students have all finished their lessons so there's alot alot of ppl on the road... wow their dress sense r so gd (perhaps its bcos of the cold weather) all of them look like celebrities on the street... haha

after showing us the subway, we went on to exchange money for tiff as she havent exchange her sg dollars to korean won. so our next experience in the local bank... money exchange was on the 2nd level hence we went up ... waited n tiff exchanged her money. I was lucky to haf done so in sg cos the rates in sg was much beta ... bt by abt 10-20 won... (haha its only a few cents in sg, bt who cares every won counts nw to me!!)

after which we bid farewell to kevin as he gt to attend his class in the afternn. I gave him our Sg product "BA KUA"n yesh he knws what's that n love it.... :) we thank him for his help .... n send him off to the subway which he keep tellin us that he is worry we do not knw hw to get back to the dorm.... we reassure that we r fine so he left....
afterwhich we went back to the dorm, unpack and catch some sleep... dinner was a easy one for us at a nearby resturant. Bought our telephone call, called hm to inform that I have arrived safety. soon after that went online at the common pc room of cos to inform that i have reached safety in Korea and am settling well here....
