that's something gd abt the International House, they provide free internet connection in ur room wif ur own laptop or in the common computer room n free laundry services.... so all u need is ur own laptop to connect in ur room if nt u can use the shared computer... for laundry all u need is jus the detergent or washing powder... (ok as sm of u may say so they have already mark up ur dorm rent tat's y its a hidden cost to me!) so wat use more internet n washin machines.... hahaha
as usual we slept till 11 plus... woke up went out to have our lunch n came back to the dorm... up to the room n we bring all our clothes that required washing downstair to the basement... in the laundry room u can hear the washing machines washin n dryer dryin laundries....

left to right: 6 samsung washin machines...., 6 dryers.......
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
so here we r in the laundry room wif our laundries.... tryin to look for a washin machine that is nt use... we were lucky we found one... so we threw in all our laundries... n nw......... read the instructions on the wall....... oh yah instructions... haha which is only very basic english like on/off, rinise, spin, wash.... that's aLL!!! sorry i mus correct my language these r nt INSTRucTIONS! they r only words simply translate frm korean to english... so nw wat?! there is no proper instructions on wat or how u shld wash ur clothes.... oh yah i washed my clothes in sg too bt i swear this samsung machine here is so complicated!! there r more than 5 buttons on the machine.... so we jus try n error all the buttons hahaaha....
yah n water started to fill the machine... i guess we gt it right... hahah so off we pour in the detergent my mum gave to me ... a small pkt of UIC detergent... :) after which we went on to play the soccergame in the laundry room while waitin for our laundry .....
after half an hour........... we get bored wif the game so i went to on the TV ... haha as usual watchin tv.... so we sat down to watch the tv program.... on n off ppl came walkin into the laundry room checkin on the washin machines n dryers.... i guess they r checkin on their laundries as well....
i bet wif u the laundry we washed took like more than an hour!!!! back in sg it took less than 1 hr!! can u imagine i didnt have a full machine of laundry, its only half filled....!!! its gonna take more than 2 hours to wash a full load man!! *pengz*
so after the long long long wait, finally our clothes r washed... so off we went to the dryer.... so jus as per wat we did. we experiment n look at the other dryer to c hw to operate the dryer... ok i m a mountain tortoise ah i have nv use a dryer b4........ so monkey see monkey do... we jus do the same as wat the others did.... still we didnt knw hw long it will take so back to watchin tv again...
soon a young gal came in checking her laundry.... tiff was away smokin... so i was alone... suddenly *erm.. i dunno if i started it or she started it* we strike a conversation... her name was call Junita (haha i can rmbr cos its the same name as one of the SIC staff), she stays on the same floor as me... she is frm netherlands n is a chinese (bt she cant speak chinese). so here she is my first friend in the International House. She is here on exchange program n have been here since last Dec. She will be takin the same Korean Lesson Level 1 at the Korean Language institute. so coincident!
after our conversation, she went back to her room... so again we r back to waiting... i didnt keep track perhaps its about another 1 hr?! we decided to give up n open e dryer to c if our clothes r dry.... so wif the machine still turnin we open the dryer.... (haha i didnt knw if we will spoilt it bt everyone did tat!!) so to our surprize the clothes r DRY!!!! warm n DRY!! hahaa... okok mountain tortoise again... haha cos i have heard bad things abt usin a dryer... something like ur clothes wont smell nice etc.... bt man i swear my clothes r fine!
so we folded our clothes n up we went to our room to keep them in the cupboard....... tat's my 1st experience of washin the laundry.... nt as though its very excitin bt its a learnin experience n nw i have gd impression of the dryer hahahaa.....
LEsson learnt: (MONkey see monkey do, so watch wat others do/ u can open ur mouth to ask ard also)
1)bring along a luggage wif ur laundry (its neater, ur clothes wont drop along the way... haha)
2)wash ur laundry on thursday NOT during the WEEKend (its recommended)
3)now i knw how to operate the washin machine n dryer
4)leave ur laundry for wash, go back to ur room to study/do other tings... (its gonna takes hours)
5)check on the hrs on the machine n check ur laundry ard the estimated time (u dun wan ppl to take out ur laundry, oh yesh ppl here do take out ppl's laundry so they can wash theirs... bt of cos some ppl jus leave their laundries in the machine n forget about it)
6)its good to rotate wif ur roommate on the use of the machine, cos its gonna take years if u wait for other ppl.... (kiasu singaporeanS)
7)dryer is nt so bad after all.... hahhaha!!!
