Heyo... its a busy n fast week.... into the 3rd week of my studies....
everything is gettin more n more difficult... i hate it!! Korean has present, past n future tense... y so ma fan?! it is the combination of all the irritatin portions of all languages... they have all the various style of speech (very formal, formal, casual... ) in total we were told they have 6 type of speech level..... *faintz* exactly the same as japanese (so mafan)
then they have present, future n past tense.... *Aarrgghh...* jus like english... hate it.... so mafan for wat.... kk enuff of me complainin n cursin this language...
it has been a busy week last week hence havent been updatin my blog.... jus as the title of this post indicated I had watched "타짜" -The War of Flowers (a korean movie) last wednesday.
My school will screen kr movies (quite new, jus afew months after it has been showned at cinemas) every wednesday at our auditorium for FREE.... This is one of the way, the school wants us to be immerse ourselves into the Korean culture etc.
So last wednesday, they had screened 타짜 starring Jo Seung Woo, Baek Yoon Shik and Kim Hye Soo. 타짜 simply means conmen... The storyline is abt this guy named 고니 (by Jo Seung Woo) n his life. He had gotten himself into the gambling life when he 1st gambled away all his sister's money. He lost all his money to a bunch of experience conmens. He then sweared to win back triple the amount of his sister money which he had lost.
After which he went to master of conmen to asked him to teach him the tricks, afterwhich he master the tricks. He then met 정마담 (by Kim Hye soo) whom operates a gambling den and is the mastermind of a gambling den.
The story revolves ard the life of gamblers (based on traditional Korean 'flower cards' -화투), the ups and downs of people who gambles. The reality of life are all showned in the movie. This is a really nice movie, makes u think about ur life n the reality world not to emphasis how gambling can harm oneself.... The tricks tat they had in the movie is slightly different frm hk's comen's tricks n r rather interesting (u can view one of it in the below clip) . Another plus point is if u are a fan of minwoo, u gonna watch this cos Jo Seung Woo is like a split image of minwoo in this movie. Though Seung Woo always resembles Minwoo bt he looked like Minwoo totally becos of his messy hairstyle in this movie...
This movie also make me wanna learn how to play 화투, bt so far of all the ppl i knw. None of them knws hw to play 화투.... :( Wait till i master the 화투 then it will add on to the no. of gambling games i knw hw to play....
