Interesting Psychological test... try it out!

Are you a LEFT-brained OR RIGHT-brained person?

First, identify yourself as right or left brain person:

1. Hold your hands together, as if you were praying.

Look at your hands.

If you see:

Left thumb is below the right thumb ---> left brain

Right thumb is below the left thumb ---> right brian

2. Fold your arms in front of you (as if you are angry)

Right arm above left arm ---> left brain

Left arm above right arm ---> right brain

Based on 1+2 (order important), below is the interpretation of your personality:

Right-Left

Considerate, traditional, indirect type

can instinctly read other's emotion, and respond friendly by natures. Although not very into taking intiatives in moving forward, but this person will always take a step back in supporting others. Stable personality and considerate, give others a being protected feeling. But the weakness is they cannot say no; regardless how unwilling they are, they will take care of others.

Right-Right

Loves challenges type Straightfoward.

Once they decided on one thing, will take action right away. Very curious, and love challenges. Dare to face dangers without thinking through (sometimes foolishly). Their weakness is they dont listen to others, will filter in only what whey want to hear in a conversation, and very subjective. However, because of their straightforward attitude, they tend to be fairly popular.

Left-Left

Dedicated, cold, perfectionist

Very logical in all aspects. The only way to defeat (or win over) him/her is through reasons. Has a lot of prides, and feeling strongly about doing the right thing. If they are your friends, they are very trustworthy. However, if they are your opponets, they will be very tough to deal with. Because they can be very "anal" as a perfectionist, they usually leave a bad impression of being hard to deal with when first met.

Left-Right

Likes to take care of others, leader type

Has a cool and keen observation ability to see through situations, yet still can be considerate in others needs. Because of their cool and calm nature, and strong sense of responsibility, they tend to become head of a group. Popular among people. However, they may not be able to help themselves in meddling because they want to take care of others too much. Very concerned about how others view them, and always on alert.

The International Cooking Festival -14 May 07

okay... here i continued with what happened on the exact day of the International Cooking Festival.

So after school on Monday (14 May 07), we went over to the Uni's library where the ICF was held.... Kind of surprise!! There were alot of people hanging around... There were about 8-9 booths each representing the different countries as I had mentioned in my earlier post.

We walked in trying to find our Finland booth.... Saw it right at the back of all the booth... All the Koreans were all at work... Joycelyn (cant rmbr her korean name) was dressed in the Finnish traditional clothes standing right in front of the booth collecting the coupon that the students had bought to exchange for the food we had. Another korean guy (the guy that lent his house out for us to do the experiment cooking, oppz... cant rmbr his name also) busy preparing the mashed potatoes........

We get into position and helped out with the shaping of mashed potatoes..... yah making it into balls..... and I helped to add on the meat balls.... Was totally amazed, they had moved the whole microwave from home to the booth!! hahaha.... so what we do is to place the ready dish into the microwave and heat it before serving it.

On the other side of the booth, another korean guy (ok i dun rmbr their NAME!! sorry....cos they dun have christian names ah difficult ah) making the blue berry milkshake.... And the leader, Lee Ho Jin (why can rmbr his name? Cos e 1st day when we met we were told to take down his mobile and name so can contact him if we have any enquiries) busy moving ard from booths to booths....

Everyone enjoyin... people frm other booths came over to check things out n also exchange the different foods... this is GREAt, i dun sense any competition at all... if back in Singapore, students are so competitive would only bother about selling more of their food... I guess this is how it shld work for such an event, to really share the culture and food....... perhaps they are not pressurize of the $$ cos its all sponsored... hehehe!! >_<

Its so funny cos we kind of "cheated" cos we used instant meatballs.... so when we ran out of meatballs, our leader was opening the packets of meatball below the table pouring it into the pot.... hahaa... guilty conscious so hiding away frm the public.

Amazingly our milkshakes were the top favourites.... People came over for more... HAHA milkshake made frm jam also nt bad ah.... The event were scheduled to end at 5.30pm however we finished selling our food at 4.30pm... haha yah half sold and half exchanging the food........ GREAT job done!!!!

This is a totally new experience for me and I felt that their students were all so participating! Back in Singapore, Temasek Poly used to have similar event but the responses werent as whelmin.... Students would be thinking if the food were edible... haha... bt true when I was at my own booth I also didnt dare to eat lor... bt after awhile heckcare ah... Jus eat!! hahaha....

Hahaha... another thing happened too, Joycelyn lost the coupons which were supposed to tabulate how many purchases... She was panicking and was like tellin the leader and another guy that she was so sorry to have lost it... Guess wat, all the guys said "Dun worry..../ Nevermind"

Both me and tiff was like wow so good, back in our mind we were thinking if its gonna happen in Singapore... Knw wat the majority of the sg guys would have said?? "Wa lau, ask u to do simple task also dunno hw to do ah... lost the ting..." or "then now how?!!"

Also noticed that Koreans are so messy.... the table was so messy... me and tiff had to keep clearin up the mess.... n gosh they jus throw the litter on the floor.......while we threw them into the trashball.... Guess its Singaporean's instinct to CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN.....or they dun sense anyting wrong wif a messy table while serving food!

Here are the pics of our food... I didnt have the time to take a pic of the milkshake cos its so popular once its made someone took it away.....

this is hw the event look like

our mashed potatoes and meatballs... nt so presentable bt tasty!! haha :D yah can tell that the table is very messy rite?

our menu board... haha our grp noticed the price is too expensive so there is a price lash....

Pre-International Cooking Festival preparation

Okay backdated again... as mentioned in my post for Akaraka that I had participated in the pre-Akaraka event -Yonsei International Cooking Festival (yah not as though I am a great cook or wat just was kind of "cheated" to join hhahaha)

So this is a pre-event of the Akaraka organised by the International Yonsei Community-IYC presenting the different local delicancies of the different countries that were represented. Why i said that I was kind of cheated to join becos the members frm IYC said it's going to be fun so we should join.... bt ok fine its fun at a point bt i think its becos we dun speak korean and cant understand it well so we felt rather outcasted....

So basically its like this, they will have booth representing the different countries. Countries that were represented were Japan (OF COS), China (SURELY one lor), America, Canada. And if you want you can sign up with your new country.... Initially me and tiff wanted to have our Singapore booth. We have even thought of doing Rojak or Kaya toast etc.... bt we gave up the idea becos its difficult to get the ingredients here in Korea.... and the members from IYC didnt even knw wat we have during the day for cooking nor where we get the fund to buy the igredients.... >_ <

so wif the salesman tectic of one of the member, we joined Finland. Yeah u mus be wondering wat the hell do Finland has?!... okay here's a hint (Hint: SANTA claus came from Finland... hahaa)

okay we went for the pre-meeting and met our grp members. In total, we have 5 koreans and 4 international students namely frm Japan, Singapore and Finland. So basically we discussed and main focus was on the Finland gal as she was the only one who knws abt Finland. All of us knw nothing NOTHING abt finland except tat Santa Claus came frm Finland... So waitin for tat Finnish gal to give some suggestions... Yah noticed that the suggestions were italic? cos her suggestions were really of no use... cos all the food she mentioned its TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE to do....!!! Baking ... hw to bake without an oven?

At tat very pt, i wanna give up and even thought i shld jus do my singapore booth...She didnt even think of anything n kept sayin its difficult to do any food since you guys do not have an oven.... So me n tiff have no choice bt to prompt her wif alternatives western food... (cos we are totally clueless wat finnish food are?!), no choice she finally said mayb we can do blueberry milkshake, mashed potatoes and meat balls......... me n tiff was like HUH these r finnish food?!!! anyway, just purely statin these food we already knw tat we cant find blue berry here in korea even if we can it's gonna b SKY HIGH price! (FYI, fruits here are like precious stones.... so expensive n difficult to find!) So at tat pt, we asked the finnish gal if we can replace it wif strawberries (cos its in season n cheaper) and she said NO! Strawberries milkshake not finnish food.......... haiz........ So our meeting ended wif our next meeting to shop for igredients and experimentin the cookin of the food at someone's house....

So on the day we met for shopping. We went shoppin for the igredients... as we expected no blueberries...... the Korean students started to panick... so Tiff told them they can replace it wif Blueberry jam instead.... n guess wat the next ting is we CANT find vanilla icecream?! went to 2 big supermarkets and they dun sell vanilla ICECREAM! can u imagine that?! i cant.... so i asked one of the korean gal if vanilla ice cream is nt common in kr? She said that no bt she also didnt knw why the supermarkets ard our sch doesnt have pure vanilla ice cream!?

So after shopping we went on to a Korean's studio apartment to do the cooking... Wow its our 1st time visitin a Korean hse furthermore a studio apartment! He lived on the 13th storey... the building jus look jus like our HDB flats... at tat very moment I miss SINGAPORE!!!!!!! the HDB n so....... the house is small, neat bt well equipped. We tested out the cooking... its really funny cos we tot mashed potatoes n milkshakes r common food and easy to make so they (as in the koreans) shld have knwn hw to do it bt to our surprise they dun....

so we told them wat to add n they started to make... Afterthat all of us tried the food.... Yummy to me bt the mashed potatoes need more butter...!! bt the milk shake is totally too SWEET!! then we realise tat koreans r sweet tooth... they tend to like sweet food hence they all really love the milkshake which i deem as too sweet!! n they even have thoughts of addin sugar into the mashed potatoes... haha (can u imagine that all these r done wif our limited korean n their limited english?!! ducks n chickens conversatioñ!!) Everything done but i tink we still needs to improve the food, pricing, booth decorations etc...

However, its really difficult to communicate, hence the Koreans then told us "Dun worry leave all the things to us the KOREans, you guys jus need to b at the booth on the day. We will make sure everything is done!!" hahaha.... telling us to leave politely ah.... so off we went hm..... its kind of bad we both feel cause its like we didnt contribute much... left while the koreans stayed on to do the other tings...

Out of this whole experience, i knw its bad bt i really feel that the finnish gal is really of nt much of use.... she came late cos she has lessons and when she came she didnt help much in tellin them hw to cook n instead she jus keep munchin on the food...... n said it taste like hm... when me n tiff was like pls lor..... these r jus WESTERN food......

We have wanted to make the sauce to go wif the mashed potatoes bt didnt knw hw to do... she went online to search for the receipe and came back to the kitchen sayin "oh... its too complicated to do... i tink we better give up the idea of doing it?!!!" I really cant stand it and her way she put it thru........ Luckily i dun have to work wif her nor do project wif her if nt i would have strangle her to death...!! hahhaa... *those who have worked wif me would have knw wat i would have done....我不可以接受我的组里面有不可以贡献的组员*
Both me n tiff felt that the koreans asked us to leave *politely* becos they knw its gettin no where... the food r nt nice nor presenting n the finnish gal is nt helping... furthermore when me n tiff suggested and the koreans agreed, the finnish gal will object to it violently... *dun ask us y cos we wanna knw too...* Hence in the end, we totally gave up... We also could sense that the koreans jus felt that the gal is nt helping and she keeps eating... n at times they gave us this feelin that they wanna change something bt were worried abt hw the finnish gal would feel...

luckily we were not representing Singapore if nt i would have felt so disgrace bt at a second thought if we were to represent Singapore i am sure we wont b like tat finnish gal! at least we tot of more practical food!....so when we left the korean house, me n tiff had this tinking- "let's wait till mon to see how the koreans invention to the food will surprise us...!! haha”

Wow, i didnt knw i could bitch so much... so decided to break this post into 2... part 2 coming up soon.... heheh....

A boring day but met cutie puppy on the street

Just last last Sunday (13 May 07) we were totally BORED at the dorm.... both myself n tiff were extremely bored bt we didnt tell each other.... jus at 4plus tiff came back into the room frm the lounge:

tiff: ahh!! its a WEEkend and Sunday and I am rotting here in the dormintory!!
me: so where do you wan to go? (am also very bored)
tiff: You are bored too? You really want to go out?
me: Sure! Just tell me where you want to go and we can go....
tiff: i dunno but jus want to get out of this dorm, i cant waste my time here doing nothing
me: okay, let's go shopping at Dongdaemun then
tiff: sure! then I can go to cheonggyecheon too!!

so off we went to prepare ourselves.... while on msn my another friend is asking wat r we doing and we asked him to join us as the 3 of us were so EXTREMELY bored at home......... so at 6.30pm we met and make our way to Dongdaemun.

Had our dinner at Burger King and shopped ard but bought nothing....can you imagine i BOUGT nothing?!?!! ah.... impossible man... i guess I was not in the mood to shop.... so went over to Cheonggyecheon.... The Cheonggyecheon stream has been reborn as a new hot tourist spot in town after years of effort to recover its clean water flows which runs down to the Hangang river (somehow like Singapore river). Was told of tis place from the tourist guide book... It runs through the main districts of Seoul and Dongdaemun is one of the spot where the Cheonggyecheon runs through

Here are some photos we took...

So at abt 11pm, we made our way back.... while walking back frm the Subway station, we met an uncle playin with his little puppy.... And when we approach them the puppy ran towards us...

So cute!!! so we stopped and played with the puppy.... The uncle was really friendly and asked where are we from....

The little puppy is only 2 months old, white and fluffy..... Very cute and active.... We were told that this puppy is a breed from Russia and pulls the sleigh...?! I was like huh... isnt that like my Diva? But i dun think its a siberian husky though....

Who cares abt the breed .... as long as its cute it ok... hahha... so we ended up playin for a while then we made our way back........
Here are some pics and clips of this little cutie and that's how i passed my boring Sunday.... >_<

the little pup teething so bitin the floor... waoh cute!

AKARAKA!!! Yonsei GREATEST EVENT n FESTIVAL!!!

hey guys i cant wait to share this with all of you out there!!! this week had been so eventful for me! been busy with the biggest fesitval of Yonsei University, the AKARAKA!!!

The biggest event in Yonsei Uni is the annually AKARAKA (in chinese character it means 應我一體) It was claimed the biggest and GREATEST event in Yonsei... so like 2 weeks ago we have been hearing news abt Akaraka... bt didnt really knw wat it was... was jus told by Yonsei students that this is a MUST go event for all Yonsei students and you wont want to miss it... we as Yonsei Students didnt want to miss this out so we decided to join in the fun...

jus 2 weeks b4 clubs were actually gathering ppl to join them in participating in the AKARAKA... we didnt actually knew what we is the festival abt ... were jus told tat there will be concert, celebrities will be invited and students doing cheers.... BUT was guarantee it is going to be a fun and great night!

so believing in the student we joined the International Yonsei Community (IYC).... bought the tickets to Akaraka and was given the tee-shirts ... Pre-events were scheduled before the Akaraka to build up the atmosphere for Akaraka....

IYC had a International Cooking Festival on Monday and we helped out (will slowly log in the encountered we had during the cooking festival). On Tues, the Mentor Club had some sort of like Bazzar in the school's main road.... We were really shocked at the participation frm the students and the scale of their pre-event. We were even more anxious to knw wat will be the AKARAKA???

So on Thurs (17 May 07) the day of AKARAKA! All students were prepared and ready for the biggest event in Yonsei... That morning we saw lots of students wearing blue (shld b our sch color). Tee-shirts of the different clubs.... saw ppl frm orchestra music club, dance club, mentor clubs, photography clubs etc. So cool.... jus as i said they are really ON on such shirts and are so proud that they belongs to certain club etc... I believed the shirts were designed by students...

its kind of sad tat morning cos the weather really sux... cloudy n gloomy bt the students weren't affected by it ... Everyone still so genki and excited about it... The Akaraka event officially starts at 4pm and the concert starts at 6pm...

We went over at 4.30pm.... wow Cool even b4 we were at the amphitheatre we can hear cheers etc.... EVeryone is cheerin!! now i understand what the students meant by cheerin! haha ...

so cool while we queue to enter (so many ppl... ppl frm the various clubs wearin the different shirts mostly in blue of different tones....)

We went in and were totally SHOCKED by what we saw! the amphitheatre was FULL!! The whole amphitheatre was covered in a sea of blue! Cheerleaders were cheering below while the audiences were following the cheers...... so COOL!!! amazin.... like a mini- national day.... we were shocked cos in sg sch for a paid event, the response would nv be so good?!

The cheers were really cute and there were lots and lots of actions etc.... everyone was following the cheer leaders... yesh i SAID everybody!!! (FYI, their cheerleaders aint those amercian style cheerleading... more of traditional costume... sorry to say bt looks more like clowns...) Though the blink blink costumes of the cheerleaders were like clowns to me, they are like IDOLS of the students in Yonsei... I guess they were cos they were really cool on stage....

its really touching and cool when you see everyone cheering... ALL YONSeians!!!!!!! their love for the school wow... i believed i wont see this in any of the sg sch?! the only event i can match would probably b our national daY! the cheers and songs were really cute... cheers are like we yonsei .... or love yonsei etc.... some songs/cheers were kind of familar cos of the world cup hahaha... yah it was like a mini world cup everyone so high and cheering! Even if you didnt knw the person besides you, we held hands together n cheers.... so united!!!

its really difficult to describe all these in words....... bt its really amazin... makes me wanna study more in Yonsei noW! Another amazing thing about this event was that it seems to be all organize and put together by the students of Yonsei?! Cos i didnt see any prof nor lecturers in there?! all the staff are Yonsei students... they have their own broadcasting crew, photography clubs, students as ticket checkers, host, dancers, performance bands etc... COOL!!! i luv this man... 沒有家長的晚上!! (or you can say in hokkien no govt) In fact, we heard frm teachers that they cant even get tickets to the events cause the 1st priority are for students....

Of cos not to forget they also invited great and popular singers... like Lee Ki Chan, Chae Yeon, MC Doc etc

All went high and cheerings until 11pm.... Last part after the singers performance, were back to the cheerleaders again cheering Yonsei cheers... Everyone was so happy and high, keep shouting for encore!! It rains on and off through out the concert bt no one really cares and stayed on....

I believed the event was prolonged cos the cheers were repeatly performed.... SO FUN! We didnt stayed till the end cos cant really take it... we have been screamin, jumpin, cheerin non stop for exactly 4 hrs?! REally tired but it was really FUN!!

Its totally WORTH the ticket price and our time to b there to participate.... if only we have more ppl then it would b GREAT! If i am going to b in Yonsei till next yr, I SWEAR i am going to participate in AKARAKA 2008!!!!

sorry to keep blahing the fun that i had.... to let u guys feel the AKARAKA here are sm short videos..... n pics... (sorry ah cant take longer clips cos i cant stand still mus JUMP and join in the fun!!)

CLICK n watch (though it may takes sm time, bt its worth ur time man!!)

Sarang ha dae YONSEI (love Yonsei!)

Back to world Cup times.......

Ba DU BA!!!

arrhh... Human earthquake... (MC Doc's Run to me...)

We dun need light sticks, hps are enuff!!! EVERYONE!

bt we have YONSEI wave....!!

Photo Gallery: Baekjae Stone Tombs and cheap drinking!

Me and my photography skills...... proudly presents....
BaekJae Stone Tombs....
above is a twin tomb
above is the circular structure tomb similar to some tombs found in Japan

Structures.........
hey man tat pigeon is real one okay...

huat ah... gt water gt fortune!!
A blend of the history and modern..

Nature and its beauty.......

this tree has a funny structure tats wat drew my attention...

look like hibicus ahs??

DRINKING SESSIOn BEgan NOW!

cheers three shots of tequlia!!

our 1st order....

and when we left........

the Han river when our subway went past.....

Baekjae Stone Tombs, my porky pork and cheap drinking!

hey yo.... times flies .... havent update my blog for 1 whole week........

many tings going on hence havent had the time to blog ..... but too many tings going on so I dunno wat to blog, when to start.... mayb let me organised n start backlog bloggin again...

oh yesh crazy nite after last week.... my class went for another drinking nite again jus on fri (11 May) but dun worry guys i didnt join them.... hahaa.... i decided i cannt b so crazy n make my liver suffer! hahaha.... (as if...) no lah i cant jus spend all my fridays drunk... or being crazy... the biggest reason is I wanna save money... haha rather go shopping then spend on alcohol...

k so on fri after my school, i went over to Co-op residence to help my family book a room for their stay when they visitin me in June.... everything is so cool, i jus reserved the room with my name and that's all... they dun need me to pay any deposit neither do they need any credit card details?!! amazing!

Afterthat, we were totally clueless as where we shld go... so we jus flipped the guide bk and decided on a place ... 석촌동 백제고분군 (Seokchon-dong Early Baekjae Stone Tombs). Yes, you must b wondering why this place?! Cause I guess most of you who knw me well knw that I am currently CRAZY with baekjae's history cause of the Korean drama, Seodongyeo (署童谣) I watched before I came over to korea.... For those who havent watch pls go n watch its an EXTREMELY NICE drama! its better than Dachanggeum... (大长今) haha... sorry me n my virus spreadin....

k so we went over to the place....got a shock cos its actually a park to the locals... so ppl there might b thinking who are these 2 gals snapping photos in our park?! haha... bt its quite interesting to see the stone tombs... n sometimes you really wonder how these ppl frm the olden days made them and can even stack them nicely? it so happened that one of the tomb has a circular formation which is constructed somehow similar to sm tombs in Japan....

Just as we reached our destination, I received a call from Kevin씨, checking where are we.... so i told him we are at Jamsil (somewhere near Lotteworld) and he was totally SHOCKED cos we are so near to his house.... haha... kena scolding frm him cos we didnt tell him we are ard there which is so near his house.... :P

n since we are so near to him, we decided to meet up for dinner n drink (YES drink again?!!) haiz.... cos in korea its cheaper and more worthwhile to drink then drinkin soft drink or coffee?! haha....

so we went to a place he recommended (to b exact his friend recommended cos he didnt knw the exact location and called his friend to confirm... ) Hahahaa... again.... so funny... we keep asking him if he is a korean cos he didnt knw Sinchon well too (the last time we met the same ting happened). So we were walking up and down the street, finally we found the place...

Compeitition is so fierce at the place we went to... cos ppl are practically pullin guests on the street to their restaurant... kind of scary!! so we decided to speak in ENglish loudly so these ppl wont pull us knowing that we are foreigners...

We went to a Korean BBQ restaurant.... YES MY Porky pork!!! apparently this restaurant is popular among korean celebrities.... n we happened to sit at a table wif celebrities autographs like Tony Ahn and Seven .... (the only signatures we can figure out). but too bad we didnt manage to see any on tat day....

The food is SO YUMMYY!!!!! nice nice nicE! n we had san sa ju (산사주) , another kind of korean wine.... nice nice.... slightly less alcoholic content than soju and is sweeter

afterwhich, we went to a pub to chill out... had ASAHI beer (someting familar) and a shot of tequila.... yesh i tink i gonna b alcoholic soon.. but man this pub we went to is called H2O and the beer in it are really cheap... a shot of tequila is only 2000 won or 2500 won about S$3.50 - S$4.50 (cant rmbr the price exactly). Fun as we were talking about World cup 5 yrs ago when Korea had the 4th placing, how all of us asians were all cheering for Korea!! We talking about national service too... haha funny topic ah? cos we saw this soldier in uniform enter the pub and sat infront of us wif his girlfriend... so out of curiousity i asked if its allow for the soldier in uniform to drink or smoke in the public? ...erm... different culture mah so kapo wanna ask lor

GREAT and we went back at abt 11pm plus... took the subway n man the subway is sO CRAzy!! so many ppl we have to practically squeeze ourselves in it! its really like sm japanese drama whereby the train is so fully packed that your face can be pressed againist the glass door.... haha

didnt join my classmates... but was told tat they went back to the same restaurant n KTV and sang till 5am in the morning!! *phew.... luckily i escaped..... hahaha....

Here are some pics we took.... yes again we n our crazy poses:
