oh wow... have always wanted to introduce the friends I have met here in kr... bt havent had the time to slowly write.... though I have introduce my classmates briefly... here are some of the new friends I have met during my stay here in Korea and in the International House.....

FRIENDS from INTERNATIONAL HOUSE

left to right: Qian Yu (aka Fish), me, Suxian, Anna, Tiff

First of all, let me introduce the friends i met in the international house... Above is a pic we took together...

Qian Yu (aka Fish) is a simple taiwanese gal... She is really cute... I first met her in the lounge while watchin TV. She was talkin on her mobile in chinese... Inititally I thought she was from China... heheh... She was walking in and out of the lounge while I was watching my TV and I guess she might want to switch channel but paiseh so she kept comin in to check out. So i turned over to her and told her "你是不是想转台??"

She was so shocked and surprise that I spoke in mandarin and was like so HAPPY and said "啊!! 你会说中文!!!" I was kind of shocked by her reaction too.... She was like its so RARE to find someone who can speak mandarin... so we continue our conversation.... She told me that when she first came to korea and in I-house, she was so sad cos everyone ard her are speaking either korean or english which she felt so lonely... So tat explained the reason why she was so happy knowing that I can speak mandarin...

She's really cute as she is such a simple, next-door gal and its really comfortable talkin to her.... We often met up at the lounge and was exchanging the culture of singapore wif her .... She was really curious abt singapore and said she would visit singapore next time...

Through her I met another Singaporean, Suxian and Anna, an indonesian. Suxian was really unapproachable frm my first impressions.... bt after a few chattings, i felt that she is quite okay and she was well-versed in Japanese too.... Anna is an indonesian and we chatted a few times.... nt so much bt she is an easy going person... I was shocked to knw tat she had a child and she is in her thirties...............

There was another singaporean that i met here in I-house. Her name is Esther... a pretty easy going gal too wif cheery personalities... She was so cute, she met a singaporean onboard SQ and was always hanging out together since they reached singapore... I guess this is wat i call 缘分。。。She too agreed that she was kind of shocked at hw close they were...

Tomoyuki and Kaeko, 2 Japaneses we met durin the International cooking festival... Tomoyuki is funny guy... he has been to lots of places during his stay in Korea and showed us his photos... Interestin life he had... He spoke a little bit of chinese too as he was stayin in China for abt a yr... cool life he had ah....

Kaeko is the classmate of tomoyuki... We met her a couple of times in n out of our room... bt she wasnt very friendly initially.... no smile etc when we exchange glances over at the coridoor.. haha she so happen to b my neighbour... bt after the international cookin festival, she is still ok... we met along the coridoor and was like chatting too.. She is a half korean...n her korean is gd...

Fabian, an Italian... Met him while I was waiting for my laundry.. He offered to play a soccer match (erm... those kind of table socceR?? sorry i duno wat is it call) Having nothin to do so I played with him... After which, we went out for lunch at a nearby restaurant for buffet... Haha was tokin abt World Cup n hw i wished that Brazil was the one that won cos I supported Brazil hahaa...

There was a few other I met exchange our names bt i cant remember hahaha.... occasionally exchanges his n byes along the coridoor....

Korean Friends:

Knw 연주씨 through Kevin 씨. Kevin 씨 introduced us to 연주씨 cos he said he will be returnin to US soon so am worry abt us so he thought mayb introduce us another kr friend so she can take care of us shld we need her help. ohh... so thoughtful of him... He's really kind and am really thankful to him for all his help he rendered since the 1st day i reached korea... He even find someone who can converse well in english as our friend...

연주씨 is a sweet gal who is currently studying at Ehwa Women University, studying journalism.... ah... smting to do wif media... ah... hw envious i was..... Just like Kevin 씨, she is also very helpful and friendly. She even taught us hw to play Hwatu... the korean gambling card game!! ITs really FUN!!

Guess Kevin씨 kind of regretted introducin us 연주씨 cos in the end at the Jazz bar... We, the 3 gals ganged up to tense him...... hahaa....

Kevin씨 currently is learning japanese so he asked me to help him find a jap language exchange partner... So i asked my classmate if she is fine. Afterwhich, we organised a gathering... Met tis kr guy (tomoe's kr friend) oppz... forgot his name... He is also learning Japanese and will be going to Japan to study his japanese a few months lata.... He can speak Japanese well... and during this gathering it's so fun n interesting, we spoke in like at least 4 different languages.... hahhaa...

these r some ppl i met here in Korea... really grateful that these r really nice ppl i met here... its really sad when u come to tink tat u met them here n soon everyone will be flyin back to their countries doing their own things and mayb u might nt b able to met up anymore.... bt it will be so cool if we can still stay in touch.... this goes the same wif my classmates too..

experiencing being overseas alone nw i can really sense this chinese phrase saying "在家靠父母,出外靠朋友。。。。" cos all of us r alone in kr, so we helped look out for each other....
